After getting out of the taxi and leaving my luggage in the 5th floor, I was very tired and kind of sleepy due to the famous #JetLag.

Climbing 5 floors by stairs carrying your baggage is not an easy task.

I already said that I was sleepy, but I was also with hunger to explore this city, which will be the place I call home for the following years.

Welcome to Varna University of Management (VUM), home of the Culinary Arts Institute (CAI).
Bulgaria's Flag

The white of the flag is said to stand for peace, love, and freedom, while green emphasizes the agricultural wealth of Bulgaria. Red is for the independence struggle and military courage.

After seeing the LACK of things in the kitchen of the dormitories, I went to IKEA, where I bough my WOK, which is the perfect tool for me as a lover of Asian Cuisine.

Needless to say that I have my own wok at home back in Guatemala, but believe me when I say, I had no space in my suitcases...

With my little knowledge of Bulgarian, beside the greeting, I alson know the numbers. Of course, It is not the same knowing them than being pronounced by bulgarians on a daily basis.

After buying my Chinese Wok in IKEA (宜家), I realized that I had to prepare my meals too.

What was advertised on the CAI website was meant only to Dobrich, so they say that you will have three times of food from Monday to Friday and that you will enjoy two times of food during the weekends.

I also was "seduced" by the pictures displayed on the site, showing a small room enough to myself, but OH SURPRISE!, my room was the smallest one on the 5th floor, compared with the neighbors and was also shared with 2 more persons.

Luckily, my roomates are very nice persons.

I call my Russian friend my Best Friend. His name is Nikita. I'll be introducing him later.

BILLA is an Austrian supermarket chain that operates throughout Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The company, which was founded by Karl Wlaschek in 1953, is currently owned by Germany's REWE Group.

I have read a lot about Bulgaria, so I had to take a picture of this Bulgarian Liquor called RAKIA.

Bulgaria cites an old piece of pottery from the 14th century in which the word rakinja is inscribed.

The country has taken measures to declare the drink as a national drink in the European Union to allow lower excise duty domestically but has yet yielded no concrete results.

During an archaeological study, Bulgarian archaeologists discovered an 11th-century fragment of a distillation vessel used for the production of rakiya.

Due to the age of the fragment, hence contradicting the idea that rakiya production only began in the 16th century, some historians believe this indicates that rakiya did originally come from Bulgaria.
